Sean Pinchin Will Set Fire to the Canoe on Saturday

If you are going to the Steve Poltz show at Meaford Hall on Saturday night, make it a perfect double header by heading across the street afterward for some hot blues.  Even if you won’t be going to Meaford Hall, make sure that you end the night at The Leeky Canoe where exceptional blues guitarist Sean Pinchin will be making a stop on his Ontario tour.

He plays with passion and skill that will have you rocking out of your seat.  Turned on to the guitar by Nirvana, and converted to the blues by Robert Johnson, his is a natural talent that explodes when he picks up his guitar.  His talent extends to songwriting as well and he polishes it every night on the road.

His latest album “Monkey Brain” has been getting rave reviews since its release, not just for the playing but for the songwriting.  Here’s what JUNO Award-winning producer Rob Szabo, who also co-wrote the album says about Sean: “Here’s a guy who’s been playing onstage 180 shows a year for the last 8 years and it shows. He can PLAY. Sean is the real deal”.  It’s an ideal show for a small venue like The Leeky, where he’s bound to get people jumping out of their seats.

This video is raw, but it displays so well his impressive virtuosity and passion:
