Meaford’s Amanda Dorey will be joining the cast of the 4th Annual Grand Ole Opry Hepworth North Show this Saturday, October 29th, held at the Music Hall of Fame Auditorium in the Hepworth Shallow Lake Legion. The show will be recorded live by Country 93 for future broadcast.
The show presents tributes to country entertainment and legends in a format that follows the Grand Ole Opry. It has been a big hit every year with a full house, a wide array of local talent and dancing and comedy to go along with the great music. The show includes the True Country Show Band as backup for the performers

It’s a testament to Amanda’s growing reputation that she has been included in this year’s show. As Meaford audiences know well, her renditions of songs by the likes of Dolly Parton, June Carter Cash, Jeanie C. Riley and other legendary female country stars have a ring of authenticity and a lot of heart.

Bill Murdoch co-hosts the show
“We really do like to present a show that features our very own local entertainers,” said Bill Murdoch, who will co-host the Opry with John Christie of Bayshore Broadcasting. “It’s really quite amazing to see how many talented musicians and vocalists we have in our area.” The region’s talent is well represented, with talent coming from Flesherton, Mount Forest, Hanover, Wingham and Owen Sound.
Second City Comedian, Steve Morel will be included in the program to give it that true Opry feel.
Tickets for the Opry are $30 (includes taxes) and are available in Hepworth at the Legion and Cindy’s Variety, in Port Elgin at Books & Strings and in Owen Sound at Taylor Electronics, RAM Promotional, David Fromager’s Music & More, Bayshore Country Feeds and Long & McQuade.
