Love In At The Harbour

Pick up a free copy of Desiderata and a daisy (the official hippie flower) down at the harbour on Saturday afternoon for a bit of peace and love and music celebrating the 2nd Annual Lovin’ Meaford.

hippie posterDAVID RUSSELLOrganized by Doug and Heather Brown, the program begins at noon with outstanding guitarist David J. Russell.   He plays every day somewhere and just keeps getting better.  If you’re lucky he’ll play his instrumental medley that begins with Greensleeves and travels through Mozart and Beethoven to get to Stairway To Heaven.  It’s a real treat.bambalamb kid

At 1 p.m. The Bambalamb Kid presents a drumming circle.  He practises music in a spiritual way which is a good fit for his percussion skills.  This is an excellent opportunity to experience music that is about letting it out of yourself.


practisingThe folk/blues duo from Owen Sound that calls them selves Remember When (Dan Hiltz and Dave Anderson) entertains from 2 p.m.  They are from Owen Sound and have a great old folk sound that suits their tunes.



laurie smilingLaurie Zwarych singing a range of tunes at 3 p.m.  Her repertoire goes back through the good old folkie days and she might throw in an original song or two.




the brownsDoug and Heather, a.k.a. The Browns Time Music Machine Show, takes the stage at 4 p.m.  They can take us back in time to where everything was groovy.




DAVID STONE PERFORMINGDavid Stone finishes off the day at 5 p.m., his fourth gig in four days, with some original songs.
